Approximately 90% of our students enroll in college the fall after graduating high school.
Programs and Services
Academic Year Activities
- One-on-one academic and personal advising sessions at the target high schools
- Monthly Saturday meetings with workshops on a variety of topics
- Academic plans for all students
- Tutoring
- College visits
- Community service projects for charities or specific groups
Summer program
- Residential, academic summer component held on the NKU campus
- Core subjects (Language Arts, Writing, Math, Science, Foreign Language) and enrichment classes that stress an academic edge for college
- Weekly field trips
- Cultural activities such as visiting a museum or attending a performance
- On Campus apartment living as a means to really understand the college experience. (Students are on campus from Sunday through Friday evenings -- weekends are spent at home.)
Additional Services
- Senior trip to a major metropolitan center, such as St. Louis, Chicago, or Cleveland where they visit universities, museums, cultural centers, and attend a play or other live performance.
- Assistance in completing financial aid and college admission applications.
- The Bridge Scholars program which provides six free college credits for our high school graduates.
